Are you sitting comfortably? Showcase Cinemas has revealed which films will be hitting its screens when it opens its doors on Saturday 4th July.

Whether you want to revisit 2020 Oscar winners in all their glory, take a trip down memory lane, catch a film you didn’t get chance to see first time round or get the kids out of the house, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your favourite movie on the big screen for just £5.

British war film, 1917, and biographical drama, Bohemian Rhapsody, will both be returning to the big screen this weekend, so if you missed out on these Academy award-winning titles you’ll be able to enjoy the drama, popcorn in hand, once again.

Want to escape the summer showers this weekend? Treat the kids to one of the many family favourites on offer. Feel all nostalgic and watch Harry, Ron and Hermione arrive at Hogwarts for the very first time in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, get the whole family laughing at Despicable Me, or enjoy a Disney classic with Beauty and the Beast. With all tickets just £5 it’s the perfect family day out.

Looking to finally get some action? Showcase has an epic line up of superhero classics, including Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises), as well as gripping action adventures like Jurassic World and Fast & Furious 7, which will keep you on the edge of your seat, and restore some much-needed excitement into your weekend.

If you’re a film fanatic that loves nothing more than a great movie and the big screen experience, then why not watch one of the all-time greats? Showcase has regularly shown timeless classics as part of the Flashback programme, and from Saturday you can enjoy everything from Back to the Future to Terminator 2 to Pulp Fiction.

Over the summer, fans of Showcase Cinemas on Facebook voted for their favourite films as part of the Showcase Fan Favourite competition, with winning horror The Shining and winning drama The Shawshank Redemption back on screen – all thanks to the public vote.

To welcome back cinemagoers, Showcase Cinemas will be screening all films for just £5 a ticket. Guests are advised to book tickets online in advance or use the self-service ticket machines in the cinema lobby.

All Showcase sites opening have a thorough cleaning regime in place, plus multiple hand sanitising stations for guests to use.
