On Wednesday 7 October, Sky Garden will be transformed into a sea of candlelight for a concert 35 floors above London. With 600 candles illuminating the space and the capital’s nighttime skyline as its backdrop, a live ensemble of a vocalist, string quartet and pianist will perform classical interpretations of modern favourites.
Presented by Yamaha, with a C2X grand piano at the heart of the garden, the evening will see Sky Pod Bar transformed by Rhubarb Hospitality Collection’s Director of Creative & Experiences, JR Marland with hundreds of candles surrounding the stage and filling the space creating a magical and intimate spectacle made even more atmospheric by sweeping views of London by night – including views of Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Music will be provided by ALR, with the six-piece ensemble performing two live sets from 7.30pm–8.15pm and 8.30pm–9.15pm. A DJ will soundtrack the evening between performances, continuing the relaxed, sophisticated mood throughout the night.
Guests can choose to experience the concert standing amongst the candles the with tickets priced at £27.50 per person inclusive of a glass of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial on arrival.
Reserved tables with clear views of the stage are available at £47.70 per person and include a bottle of red, white or rosé wine and a sharing platter per two guests (max table size four). Guests can choose from a charcuterie board of Serrano ham, coppa, salami and Iberian chorizo; a British cheese board including Cotswold Brie, Harbourne Devon Blue, Black Bomber Cheddar and Clara goat’s cheese; or a verdure platter of pickled summer vegetables, vine-ripened tomatoes, radishes, peppers and baby fennel, accompanied by tabbouleh, chickpea houmous and aubergine caviar.
With hundreds of flickering candles, live strings and piano filling the garden and London sparkling beyond the windows, Yamaha Presents: The Moonlight Concert at Sky Garden will bring together music, atmosphere and one of the capital’s most spectacular views for one night only.
