Specsavers Enfield is throwing open its doors this summer to celebrate three decades of caring for the local community, and it is inviting residents young and old to be part of the party.
The Palace Gardens store is marking its 30th anniversary with a week of celebrations from Sunday, June 28, to Saturday, July 4.
To bring the community along for the occasion, the store is running two fun competitions throughout the week. Adults are challenged to name 10 iconic 1980s films from illustrated symbols, with three prizes of designer frames worth £150 each up for grabs.
Children, meanwhile, are invited on a treasure hunt around Palace Gardens Shopping Centre. Families can collect a word search in the store and head out to find clues hidden among neighbouring shops to complete it, with a goody bag waiting for every young adventurer who successfully completes the challenge.
Roshan Mukhey, store director at Specsavers Enfield, said: ‘Thirty years is a real milestone and something our whole team is incredibly proud of. Specsavers has been part of this community since 1996 and we have had the privilege of caring for so many local families over that time.
‘We wanted to mark the occasion with something that brought people together and had a bit of fun along the way. The 80s film quiz felt like the perfect way to celebrate and we hope families enjoy the treasure hunt too as it is a lovely way to get the children involved.’
Entry forms for both competitions are available to collect in store from Sunday, June 28. Completed forms must be returned before close of business on Thursday, July 3, with winners announced at a grand prize draw on July 4. Full terms and conditions are available in store.
Specsavers Enfield is open seven days a week. To book an appointment, visit www.specsavers.co.uk/stores/enfield or call the store on 020 8366 1030.
