Today, Soho House has revealed renowned actor, writer, and director, Stanley Tucci, as the host for its upcoming inaugural Soho House Awards.
On 1st September, the Academy Award nominee and cocktail connoisseur will be swapping his favourite negroni for Soho House’s infamous ‘picante’ – reimagined for one night only in the form of an Award to be presented to the night’s winners.
As a long-term UK resident, Stanley will also be donating his presenting fees to the Trussell Trust – a charity aimed at giving food support to people in the UK living below the poverty line.
Celebrating the group’s longstanding heritage of championing emerging talent in the creative industries, The Soho House Awards – in partnership with Sky – is the first cross-industry awards that give equal prominence, accolade and praise to up-and-coming talent as well as those who are already household names.
With ten categories – from music and art, to acting and design, creator and change maker – there will be two award winners per category, honouring one established name and one breakthrough star, both selected for their defining accomplishments and success in the past twelve months.
Nick Jones, Founder and CEO of Soho House, said:
”Stanley is a long-standing member and supporter of Soho House so I couldn’t think of anyone better to host our first Soho House Awards. The awards celebrate people at all stages of their careers, from established names to emerging talent who are just starting out, something I know Stanley is also passionate about.”
The inaugural Soho House Awards will take place on 1st September at a ceremony at 180 House, London, during which all winners will be presented with their ‘Golden Picante’ awards. The awards will be broadcast across Soho House digital platforms, including Instagram and TikTok, with winners announced throughout the night alongside special musical performances from Michael Kiwanuka and Self Esteem.
The Soho House Awards 2022 – in partnership with Sky – are also supported by Porsche and Patrón.
