Iconic coffeehouse chain Starbucks is opening its doors to a brand-new Greenwich store at Kidbrooke Village on Friday 19 August at 10am, creating 10 new jobs.
Customers are invited to enjoy their favourite Starbucks beverage and Starbucks UK proudly serves a broad range of dairy alternative options, including oat, soya, almond, coconut, and the exclusive Starbucks™ Original Nut Blend, for free.
Berkeley’s Kidbrooke Village has an established village centre with a mix of shops and retail as well as a square for the community to get together, providing access to a wealth of independent businesses alongside bigger brands. The Starbucks store is the latest arrival opening next to Kidbrooke Station in the development’s retail quarter Pegler Square.
Independent coffee pop ups Caffè Caretto and Little Tree Box are also located at Kidbrooke Village and will remain an important part of the retail mix. Kidbrooke Village is also home to a Sainsbury’s Local and Young’s pub The Depot, while a Brunch Market is held on the second Sunday of every month in Pegler Square with a range of independent street food, drinks, and craft stalls.
Karl Whiteman, Divisional Managing Director for Berkeley East Thames, said: “We’re really thrilled to be welcoming Starbucks to the growing range of shops and cafés at Kidbrooke Village. It is the latest in the long line of fantastic brands and independent retailers that have helped us achieve our ambition of creating a neighbourhood with a buzzing community at its heart. We’re all looking forward to seeing the store open up and sampling its coffee and treats which have made Starbucks so successful across the world.”
Paul Rhodes at AM Coffee Retail said: “We are excited to open our new store in Kidbrooke and look forward to welcoming the local community. To celebrate the opening, we will be offering free reusable cups to the first 100 customers.”
The Starbucks store has a contemporary design and offers customers the opportunity to enjoy a handcrafted cup of coffee and relax with the comfortable seating and free wi-fi. As well as the new physical store, Kidbrooke’s Starbucks can deliver straight to people’s doors via Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats and customers are also welcome to order ahead via the Starbucks® UK App, available for iPhone® and Android™, to skip the queue and collect to take away.
Starbucks is committed to 100% ethically sourced coffee in partnership with Conservation International. Encouraging more sustainable practices, Starbucks also offers a 25p discount to all customers who bring a reusable cup when purchasing a drink.
The new Starbucks store is located at Unit 2, Block 3A, Pegler Square, London, SE3 9FW, and open from 7:00am-9:00pm Monday to Saturday and 8:00am-8:00pm on Sundays.
