Taylor Wimpey London has pledged its support to Hackney Quest, a charity helping young people and families across Hackney, through a donation initiative linked to home sales at its local Hertford Mill development.
For every private home reserved at the site, the housebuilder will donate £25 to Hackney Quest. The initiative ensures that as the community grows, so too does the support for local residents.
Hackney Quest runs a range of programmes including youth mentoring, after-school clubs, educational support, and skills workshops. The charity also offers help for families navigating challenges such as housing or employment, helping to build resilience and community connections.
Michael O’Leary, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey London, said: “Hackney Quest plays an incredibly valuable role in supporting and empowering local young people and families. We’re proud to be backing their work through this initiative and look forward to seeing our contributions grow as more homes are reserved at the development.”
Colette Allen, CEO at Hackney Quest, said: “A huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey for supporting Hackney Quest through their new development at Hertford Mill. As a long-established local charity, we’ve been working for over 36 years to support young people and families in Hackney facing a range of challenges. The generous contribution will help us strengthen our employability and counselling services, enabling us to continue providing vital, life-changing support to the community.”
