Having been closed for just over a month, The Cause and its team is already rising from the ashes and creating a stellar three-day party utilising all the lessons learned over the last few years for a proper party. Aptly named The Cause Seaside Beano, it will take Pontins 80’s “inspired” decor to a new level bringing in five party crews to help on the proceedings.

The Seaside Beano kicks off at midday on Friday 20th May, with 24 hours of music, right through until 6am on Monday 23rd May with artist announcements coming soon. Pre-sale tickets will be available for those who register on Tuesday 15th Feb at 10AM with remaining tickets to go on general sale 24 hours later.

The six spaces across the resort will be programmed by The Cause and it’s partners including cult queer party Adonis, one of London’s hottest incubators for grassroots talent – streaming platform Keep Hush. Ben Sims & Kirk DeGeorgio’s will bring the techno behemoth Machine whilst record label and party collective Lobster Theremin will be on hand with more to be announced soon.

Special showcases will come from the likes of Abandon Silence, Carcosa, Don’t, Fast & Bi-Furious, Feelings Worldwide, JAWDANCE, Midnight People, Polar, Ritmo, Spacehopper, Threads plus Earful of Wax inviting down Accidental Meetings, Cabin Fever, Co-Select, Kindred, Kite Hill, Late Night Shopper and Sisu.

Stuart Glen, co-founder of The Cause says “Whilst we’re working on a new site we call home, we wanted to ensure all our community could stay connected, so we’re packing up our sound-systems and heading up the South East coast for a three-day party and taking over a classic UK holiday park. Expect all our loyal friends, family, and residents alongside some fresh talent we’ve never booked before.”

Alongside the music, there are all sorts of classic holiday fun to be had. On-site expect amusement arcades, go-karts, crazy golf, pool halls, an urban gym, and a huge pool with an inflatable aqua course which will also host several pool parties each day.

Off-site will be an array of local attractions including watersports, boat trips, kitesurfing, bike hire, nature reserves, village pubs, restaurants, and beach bars.

After closing the legendary Ashley Road site on the 2nd January, raising over £8K for charity from the last ever event alone, the innovative arts & events organisation is switching things up once more for 2022. The Cause Seaside Beano will bring all the best bits from The Cause to Camber Sands, home to soft golden sand and clean blue sea in East Sussex
