The Giving Tree Returns to Lewisham Shopping Centre this Christmas

Lewisham Shopping Centre has announced the return of its popular Giving Tree, which will support the children and young people of Lewisham.
The centre has collaborated with two local organisations; Bank of Things, which aims to combat poverty and the lack of resources for young people in Lewisham, and The Salvation Army which provides support and advice for those tackling homelessness.
Donations can be made to The Giving Tree, situated in Central Square until 31st December. Guests can choose a tag from the tree, detailing the child they’ll buy for, and head off to choose the perfect gift at one of Lewisham’s stores. The appeal will be accepting thoughtful gifts including books, toys, or craft packs.
Paul Redden, Centre Director at Lewisham Shopping Centre, said: “The festive season is a time of togetherness and community, where everyone deserves to feel loved and cared for, which is why we’re focusing on giving back to those in need as we announce the return of The Giving Tree at Lewisham.
“We know that our charity drives are always met with the upmost generosity from our guests, and we’re sure the thoughtful donations made will help make a real difference to those who need it most this Christmas”.
What’s more, to simplify Christmas shopping, Lewisham will have a gift-wrapping station in December, offering guests the opportunity to have their gifts wrapped free of charge when they spend over £50.
