Founder of Grow2Know, semi-professional footballer, community activist and TV presenter Tayshan Hayden-Smith – along with his children, Luca and Jazz – whose series of four free, Peter Rabbit-inspired gardening videos are now available at www.peterrabbit.com.

The #GrowWithPeterRabbit challenge encourages families to grow their own veg at home during National Children’s Gardening Week 2022, which starts this week.

Our spokesperson is Tayshan Hayden-Smith, founder of Grow2Know hot off his hugely successful first garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, who will be unveiling a new Peter Rabbit Garden this summer. Tayshan is a semi-professional footballer, who founded Grow2Know in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire, his local community, creating a garden to bring the community together again after the tragedy. He now hosts BBC 2’s Your Garden Made Perfect and is creating a special garden at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.

For National Children’s Gardening Week (28th May – 5th June), Tayshan has filmed four How-To videos that will sit on the Peter Rabbit website, offering sustainable gardening activities for families to do at home, no matter how much green space they have access to.

The four activities are:
A Planter for Peter
A decorated, upcycled crate for creating a vegetable garden at home (pictured)
Mr McGregor’s Pots
A vertical pot planter, ideal for balconies or outside walls
Mrs Tiggy Winkle’s Baskets
Upcycling an old kitchen colander to create a beautiful hanging basket
Squirrel Nutkin’s Cuttings
