The Hundred returns to Lord’s next week, as London Spirit kick off their home campaign on Thursday 23 July against Manchester Super Giants, and this year’s opener comes with a headline act – Tinie Tempah will perform live at Lord’s between the women’s and men’s matches.

The London-born rapper, a Brit and Ivor Novello winner for “Pass Out”, with seven UK number-ones including Written In The Stars and Never Let Me Go, joins a growing list of Lord’s performers that includes Perrie, Zara Larsson, Rudimental and Bastille. He’s currently gearing up for his first headline tour in almost a decade, The Night’s Not Dead.

Tinie Tempah said: “I’m really looking forward to performing at Lord’s this summer – it’s such an iconic London venue and The Hundred always brings an incredible atmosphere. I’m all about music and sport coming together to create memorable experiences for fans so I’m excited to be part of the opening match and get everyone warmed up for a brilliant day of cricket.”

Beyond the opener, London Spirit play four home fixtures at Lord’s this summer – matchdays run Thursday 23 July through Sunday 9 August, with games against Manchester Super Giants, Southern Brave, MI London and Birmingham Phoenix. Tickets start from £5 for children and £24 for adults.

There will be live music and entertainment on the concourses throughout, food and drink from a range of vendors, and fans are welcome to bring their own picnics (alcohol included), making Lord’s one of the best spots in London for a summer day out with friends and family.
