On Saturday 22nd April, 30 years on from the tragic death of Stephen Lawrence, the lastminute.com London Eye will be illuminated in orange in memory of his life and legacy.

Stephen Lawrence Day, the National Day of Remembrance for the young black man murdered in a racially motivated attack in 1993, exists to inspire a more inclusive society and foster opportunities for marginalised young people in the UK.

From sunset on Saturday, the lastminute.com London Eye will be lighting up the capital’s skyline orange, joining schools, community groups, and individuals around the country to mark the anniversary of Stephen’s murder.

Imran Tauqir, General Manager of the lastminute.com London Eye, said: “We are honoured to be illuminating the lastminute.com London Eye orange in support of Stephen Lawrence Day, honouring Stephen’s legacy and standing in solidarity with the Lawrence family and all those who continue to fight against racism and injustice. It is just one small way that we can show our support and hopefully inspire fellow Londoners to commit to taking one small action that will positively impact the lives of young people from marginalised backgrounds, ultimately building a fairer, kinder, and more equitable society.”
