This weekend, the lastminute.com London Eye will be lighting up in a special red, white, and blue design to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.
Across the weekend of Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May, the iconic attraction will be lighting up the London skyline with a bespoke design of the Union flag to celebrate the once-in-a-generation royal event.
Imran Tauqir, General Manager of the lastminute.com London Eye, said: “We are proud to be lighting up with a special Union flag design to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Consort Camilla. This is a special moment in our country’s history, and the London Eye will to be lighting up the sky in red, white, and blue in honour!”.
The light-up is not the only celebration the attraction is putting on to mark the momentous occasion. The Coronation Capsule, decorated to replicate the Gothic Westminster Cathedral, will run until Monday 8th, and allows guests the opportunity to have their own crowning experience 135m in the air with a replica of the 700-year-old Coronation Chair.
