THE LONDON DUNGEON ANNOUNCES SPINE-CHILLING NEW HALLOWEEN SHOW

Home of Halloween, The London Dungeon, announces its new horrifyingly historical Halloween show ‘Curse of the Mummy’, running from Saturday 17th October to Sunday 1st November.
Based on the terrifyingly true history of the ‘Unlucky Mummy’, guests are transported to the delivery bay of the London Museum in 1889, where the infamous mummy board has just arrived – along with something far darker.
During the Victorian era Egyptomania was a booming trade, with wealthy elites importing Egyptian mummies to London. According to myth, the trouble began in the 1860’s when four young English travellers returned home with the ‘Unlucky Mummy’ after visiting the mummy pits of Deir el-Bahri in Egypt.
A rapid trail of disaster was said to have befallen those who had crossed paths with it. One traveller was accidentally shot and lost his arm, another suffered financial ruin, while others reportedly died in poverty or mysteriously disappeared. And the curse continued as the mummy was passed from one owner to another, so too did the misfortune that followed it.
In one of the London Dungeons’ biggest ever Halloween takeovers, three immersive theatrical shows unwrap this chilling story, utilising sensory effects, to horrifying effect. Guided by real historical figures, including Victorian clairvoyant Madame Helena Blavatsky, guests uncover the chilling story behind the curse and why some tombs were best left undisturbed.
Catherine Pritchard, General Manager for The London Dungeon said: “This Halloween, it’s a curse we’re up against. The Curse of the Mummy has been blamed for ruination and death so naturally, we thought let’s bring it to The London Dungeon this Halloween. Guests will come face to face with Victorian London’s darkest obsession – ancient Egypt, the occult, and a mummy that really doesn’t like being disturbed. You’ll be so scared you’ll want your mummy!”
Curse of the Mummy is available from Saturday 17th October to Sunday 1st November 2026 and is included in the London Dungeon ticket. Book Curse of the Mummy Halloween tickets at the London Dungeon: thedungeons.com/london/halloween
