THE LONDON DUNGEON LAUNCHES ‘SICKIE SERVICE’ TO HELP BRITS PLAY HOOKIE FROM WORK ON HISTORIC DAY

To mark its reopening, The London Dungeon is launching the first ‘sickie service,’ encouraging Brits to bunk off work on May 17th to make the most of the latest lifting of restrictions.

With attractions and indoor dining reopening, and group gatherings and overnight stays back on the agenda, no one should have to work – and we doubt anyone wants to! So, The London Dungeon is riding to the rescue for those looking to skip work and celebrate with the ‘Sickie Service.’

Simply submit your details and The London Dungeon’s Plague Doctor will ring up your boss claiming you have a high temperature or something contagious, to get you out of work for the day.

A London Dungeon spokesperson said: “It’s been a long lockdown. Freedom is in sight and beleaguered Brits can finally meet up in groups inside, stay over with family and visit attractions. No one wants to be in work for this – so we’ve taken it upon ourselves to help the nation ‘play hookie’ on this historic day. So, skive off and celebrate in style!”

To apply for the Sickie Service simply apply online at www.thedungeons.com/london/sickie-service/ and enter your name and contact details. The Sickie Service will be live for one morning only, May 17th 2021, and 10 lucky applicants will see their bosses called between 8-10am. Those who are selected will be notified via email on Friday May 14th ahead of the call taking place so they can share their bosses’ details and get their stories straight before planning their big day out.

The London Dungeon reopens to the public on May 17th at 10am, tickets are available to pre-book now via the website: https://www.thedungeons.com/london/tickets-prices/
