Christmas is almost here, and to celebrate the festive season, the London Eye has launched their own merry ode to the holiday season and transformed one of its world-famous capsules into the ultimate snow globe experience.
From November 29 to December 4 the UK’s most popular paid for attraction will provide the perfect opportunity to ‘switch off’ from the stresses of urban life and panic of last-minute Christmas shopping. The capsule has been fully transformed into an immersive traditional London Christmas scene, fitted with real pine trees, a flickering lamp post, quintessential London park bench and even a traditional red post box, topped off with snowballs and wooden logs.
From tomorrow, the London Eye team will be surprising and delighting ticket holders, as they kick off their holiday season, by randomly selecting them for this 30-minute experience. All lucky visitors in the bespoke capsule will have the chance to enjoy the stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the city from 135m up in the sky, perfect for those merry selfie moments.
Sunny Jouhal, General Manager at the London Eye, said: “It’s snow joke that we’ve created the ultimate festive experience for visitors to London this Christmas. We’re ready to delight our guests with the chance to take in the iconic London skyline from this ‘must-do’ seasonal setting until the 4th December, there’s nothing else quite like it!”
