The lastminute.com London Eye has announced it will be staying open until 10pm this New Year’s Eve for the first time since it made its very first turn to guests 20 years ago – and tickets go on sale today!

Since becoming the focal point of the capital’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display the iconic attraction usually closes much earlier in the day, around 3pm in recent years, to prepare for the celebrations. This year friends and families are invited to take to the skies this New Year’s Eve and celebrate the end of 2020 and the start of a brand-new year onboard the iconic London landmark.

Sunny Jouhal, General Manager at the lastminute.com London Eye, said: “With all the challenges that 2020 has brought, New Year is still a time for celebrations and what better location to celebrate than with us on the London Eye overlooking the capital! This is the very first time that the London Eye has been open this late on New Year’s Eve and so we’re really excited to welcome visitors with this unique must-do experience.”

With unparalleled 360-degree views, the London eye provides a magical, and unique for 2020, location for visitors to spend their evening whilst enjoying the sensational sights of the twinkling city below.

Tickets go on sale today from £24.50 per person and are available to purchase on the website. The London Eye will be open from 11am with final entry at 9:30pm on 31st December.
