Despite challenging times for the hospitality industry, Paul Belcher, owner of The Tapas Room, is delighted to announce the launch of The Tapas Room in Brixton Village. The wine shop, tapas bar and deli will be launching on 16th July and is a welcome return for Paul, as Brixton was the location of his first restaurant, Donostia Social Club.
This is the third venue for the three year old brand, with sites already in Tooting Broadway Market and Deptford Market Yard with The Tapas Room championing South London neighbourhoods and bringing their wine expertise, affordable and moreish menus to these local areas.
The tapas dishes are reasonably priced and has the scope to offer either a simple “prop up the bar tapa” or a full sharing experience of exquisitely cooked plates, with dishes including Confit Fennel with Pickled Figs & Asturian Blue Cheese and Seared Scallop, Pisto, Green Chili Sauce & Almonds.
The Tapas Room is making it’s mark as one of the best resources for Spanish wine in London. With an impressive and eclectic list in each venue customers are able to experience Spanish wine, Cava, sherry & vermouth from virtually every region including the lesser known grapes and “Garage wines” from low yield, independent producers. With a strong want to teach and encourage exploration into these wines, there are regular tastings and presentations from visiting suppliers and wine makers, and a general bubbling enthusiasm about wine from the staff.
Weekend Spanish Brunches will be available with a choice of cocktails, Bloody Mary, Vermouth & Tonic, Oloroso Negroni
Opening Hours: Tuesday-Friday 12-11pm, Saturday 10am-11pm, Sunday 10am-4pm (Monday Closed)
