Renowned wine expert and social media personality Tom Gilbey (@tomgilbeywine) will be hosting a one-off dinner at Sam’s Waterside this May, bringing his expertise and humour along with a selection of his favourite wines to Brentford.

Taking place on Wednesday 27th May and Tuesday 2nd June, the events will feature a 5-course meal with select wine pairings, hosted by Gilbey and Waterside co-founder Sam Harrison.

Known to many as ‘The Wine Guy,’ Gilbey has built a reputation as an engaging and unconventional voice in the wine world. Describing himself as “an accidental Instagram sensation, marathon runner and now author,” Gilbey has captivated audiences with his energetic approach to wine.

Ahead of the launch of his second book and a forthcoming UK and Ireland tour featuring a one-of-a-kind wine show, Gilbey will make a special appearance at Sam’s Waterside for an intimate evening of food, wine, and storytelling.

Sam’s Waterside opened in 2023, sister restaurant to much loved and highly lauded Sam’s Riverside in Hammersmith. The restaurant offers a similar brasserie style offering, with a focus on modern British cuisine and a strong focus on local ingredient sourcing, including Chiswick House Kitchen Garden & Phoenix Farm in White City.

Boasting a prime waterside location with beautiful views of the dock & canal, a carefully curated wine list and dedicated cocktail menu making the venue one of West London’s best bars, as well as the warm service that’s a guarantee from the group, the restaurant also hosts frequent events such as the upcoming wine dinner, to keep reconnecting with the local and wider community.

At the events, guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbles and oysters before enjoying the full dining experience. Throughout the evening, Gilbey will guide attendees through each wine pairing, sharing insights from his journey in the wine industry and his rise as an Instagram sensation.

The evening will also include an interactive Q&A session, offering guests the opportunity to ask Gilbeyany and all burning questions around wine and the wild world of social media.

Tickets are priced at £95 per person, with limited availability.

For those looking to experience an entertaining and educational evening centred around exceptional wine and food, early booking is strongly recommended.
