Summer arrived but not like we were expecting…instead of warm, sunny days spent in the park, the constant rain miserably reminded us that we may not get the summer we were all longing for. However, with the weather forecast predicting 27 degrees this week, things are about to get HOT! When I scream, you scream and so does Turtle Bay with their pop-up ice cream van, which will be parked up around Camden Town for two days only, celebrating the launch of their milestone 50th site, and sixth in the capital. Across two days (9th-10th August), Turtle Bay’s Executive Chef Collin Brown will be offering Londoners a choice of caramelised plantain over delicious rum raisin or creamy coconut ice cream, topped with rum caramel sauce.
The van, which will be touring up and down North London, will also be offering a selection of tropical Wray & Nephew rum slushies guaranteed to put a smile on your face this week.
Their two-day extravaganza, which will see the van brightening up the streets of London on Tuesday and Wednesday, will end in Camden on Thursday, where their 50th restaurant will be set in the prime location of Camden Lock and they will serving up mouthwatering treats and offering £10 food and drink vouchers all day long. The Caribbean-inspired restaurant brand will also be hosting a social competition on the Instagram feed, offering lucky winners a chance for the highly-anticipated truck to park outside their office (guaranteed to make you the employee of the week). The venue is set to be Camden’s hottest new spot in town bringing reggae, rum, and good vibes to one of London’s most iconic areas around.
Turtle Bay recently launched a brand new fresh and vibrant menu which was curated by celebrity Caribbean cook, and Executive Chef at Turtle Bay, Collin Brown. Inspired by the islands, the menu, which has been rolled out across all restaurants, was developed by Jamaica’s most awarded chef, and includes an elevation of four Turtle Bay classics, plus an introduction of 12 brand new dishes and two delicious ‘beach board’ sharing platters, which is on offer across all their restaurants.
The new restaurant will be opening its doors on Friday 11th August and located at 10 Jamestown Road, Camden, London, NW1 7BA.
