TV personality Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace has slammed convicted paedophile Gary Glitter who could be released early next year.

Aisleyne, who has been open about her own abuse when she was just seven years old, said it’s ‘disgusting and he needs to be locked up’.

Speaking to GB News presenter Mark Dolan, TV personality Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace said: “It’s just disgusting. He was sent to prison for four months before any of the actual sexual offences, for having child pornography on his computer. Although who knows how far back it went.

“If he’d have had a longer sentence, perhaps these other poor children wouldn’t have had their lives devastated by him and these disgusting acts.

“You see time and time again people getting longer sentences for robbing a bank. If you’ve damaged a defenceless child emotionally, physically and mentally scarred them for life, you need to be locked up and throw away the keys.

“I’m sorry to get emotional but it’s something I feel so strongly about. For him to get out and those poor childrens’ lives which will never be the same again, it’s just abhorrent. It makes me feel sick.

“If he had have got longer the first time he was caught, perhaps none of this would have happened.”

Glitter could be released as early as February next year, and is rumoured to still be receiving millions in royalties from the music he made prior to his convictions. Aisleyne added: “That’s the disgusting part. Take his money and give it to the victims. It’s disgusting.”

Opening up about her own experience, she revealed: “I experienced something, not quite as horrific, when I was younger. I’ve known friends who have experienced the same, and I saw no justice and a lot of my friends saw no justice.

“Rape is so hard to convict people with now, and children are so defenceless. They can’t fight for themselves, we need to fight for them more.”

In previous discussions, Aisleyne has revealed she was touched as a young girl “by a complete stranger” and shared that she “knew it was wrong and froze in absolute fear”.
