A man in his 50s from near Walworth, who describes himself as a massive Millwall fan won £1,000,000 by matching the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code on Friday 14 August 2026.
He has always played EuroMillions in the firm belief that his day would come, and he was proved right. He now plans to get married first, gift some of his winnings to his children, enjoy a few lovely holidays and invest some for the future.
Speaking about his win, he said, “All I can say is that it’s life changing. I’ve always played EuroMillions believing that one day I’d win, I just knew it would happen. Now we can get married, look after the children and make some wonderful memories along the way.”
A woman from near Crystal Palace won £1,000,000 after matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the second round of The National Lottery’s Lotto on Wednesday 19 August 2026. She usually plays via the app, but on this occasion, while in a shop posting some parcels, she decided to buy a ticket there and then.
Her win means she and her family can become mortgage-free and enjoy the retirement they could only ever have dreamed of.
