UBER MUST NOW PUT EFFORT INTO IMPROVING DRIVER CONDITIONS AND SAFETY FOLLOWING TFL RULING

GMB, the union for taxi and professional drives, says the company must now put its time and energy into improving relations with drivers following today’s court ruling.

The ride-sharing giant today won its appeal against Transport for London’s (TfL) decision not to renew its licence to operate in the UK capital.

Steve Garelick, GMB London Region Organiser said:

“Uber has moved heaven and earth to keep its London license.

“Drivers now need to see the same level of commitment put into improving their working conditions and safety.”
