The two violent incidents are as follows:

Saturday 1 July at around 6.15pm, Earls Court station: Victim was queuing at a shop in the station when a man demanded he handed over his watch. The victim attempted to fend off the armed man using the coat in his hand but was lunged at with a large knife in an attempt to stab him in the stomach. Fortunately, as the suspect fled the scene, the victim sought safety behind the shop counter.

Tuesday 4 July at around 1.40pm, Sloane Square station: A different victim boarded a District Line train when he was approached by a man who sat beside him and began to stare at his watch. Feeling nervous and uncomfortable, the victim left the train at Sloane Square but was quickly approached by the man who produced a large knife and demanded his watch. As the victim tried to escape, he was attacked with a knife, suffering slash injuries to his head. He also endured lacerations to his neck, shoulders and legs. We have to point out that if you’re assisting someone who is wanted for questioning, this can lead to prosecution.

Only by working together, can we make our communities safer. Please don’t stay silent. Contact Crimestoppers if you know where he’s hiding.
