Spring has officially sprung, and what better way to celebrate than with a full day of farmyard fun at the Vauxhall May Fair. Whether you’re a nature-lover, a family of fun-seekers, or someone just looking for some wholesome weekend joy, there’s something for everyone… and yes, that includes cuddling our animals and seeing our new lambs and kids!
Vauxhall May Fair is the perfect way to showcase first-hand the fantastic work we do, the amazing animals who call our farm home, and for everyone to have an all-round great time! Over the weekend you can expect many FREE activities such as:
SHEEP SHEARING
Watch the wool fly as our expert shearer gives our sheep their spring trims. Held in our outside paddock, there’s plenty of room for everyone to see this up close, real-deal farm work in action!
SPINNERS DEMO
See how wool becomes yarn in the most mesmerizing way! Local spinners will be working their wheels and happy to chat about their craft and teach you the journey from ‘Sheep to Sweater’ right before your eyes.
EDUCATION WORKSHOPS
Swot up on sustainability with a topping of science, and a whole lot more in one of our education workshops. Suitable for ages 4+.
GARDEN PATCH
Sow some seeds to grow at home and learn about plant care. Plus, we will be selling produce grown by our volunteers in our community garden.
CAR FREE DAY!
A chillout spot for grown-ups while kids enjoy unstructured, imagination-fuelled play as Tyers Street will be closed to traffic for the weekend.
FAMILY FARM TRAIL
Explore every corner of The Farm, including Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, and along Tyers Street to the outdoor paddocks.
