The past year has seen homes transform into a treasure chest of life’s beautifully ordinary moments. Homes have become so much more than a place to eat and sleep – kitchens have become discos, gardens have become festivals and living rooms have become fairy castles.
To celebrate and champion the perks and quirks of home life Very brought the nation together for a singalong like never before, set to the tune of the aptly named Madness hit, ‘Our House’.
Households across the country were given the chance to star in a music video alongside some of the country’s best-loved celebrities. Heart presenters, Kelly Brook, Pandora, and Dev Griffin will join Suggs and Sophie-Ellis Bextor from their homes to help celebrate and shine a light on the wonderful (and sometimes challenging!) ways lockdown has transformed how the nation use their homes.
Pop sensation Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who has hosted a series of fun kitchen discos live throughout lockdown, will feature in the new music video, alongside hosting an exclusive TikTok LIVE House Party DJ set with her husband Richard Jones, to be broadcast live on her own and Very’s TikTok channels immediately after the music video airs.
Madness singer Suggs said: “Spending a lot of time at home over the past year has meant we’ve all had to adjust to life at home and how keep busy. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the nation will bring ‘Our House’ to life as we remember the year we’ve all been through. Of course, I couldn’t resist being in the ad too!”
For the chance to take part, families across the country were invited to recreate feel-good videos to the Madness track, showcasing how they’ve adapted their everyday lives and living spaces over the past year.

Very’s 2021 music video will air in a commercial break on Saturday 27th March during Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV.
