Football fans can witness England’s biggest match yet on the big screen at across Vue in London as they face Argentina in a blockbuster semi-final clash this Wednesday.

The Three Lions are now just one victory away from reaching the FIFA World Cup Final, but standing in their way is reigning world champion Argentina, a team renowned for thriving on football’s biggest occasions and packed with world-class talent.

Kicking off at 20:00 BST, those wishing to watch the game with fellow fans can do so with the ultimate seat, screen and sound by coming along to London’s Vue venues, where every tackle, save and goal will play out on the big screen.

With a place in the World Cup Final on the line, fans can expect an enthralling contest featuring some of the biggest names in world football.

England captain Harry Kane will once again lead the line as he continues his pursuit of the tournament’s Golden Boot, while Jude Bellingham will look to stamp his authority on one of football’s greatest stages against Argentina’s gifted midfield. However, they will be facing very tough competition with Argentina being the current world champions.

The screenings come as new research from University College London (UCL), carried out in collaboration with Vue, reveals that shared big‑screen experiences are linked to substantial mood lifts, enhanced recall and increased attention – another great reason to catch the football with other fans on the big screen.

The study compared collective viewing at the cinema with a home‑like setting. While both audiences experienced a mood boost from watching the film, the increase was far greater for cinemagoers – five times that of those in the home‑like setting.

In addition, 92% of cinemagoers identified the same scene as the most memorable moment, compared with just 47% of viewers in the home‑like setting. People in the cinema also rated their emotional experience as 36% more intense and 32% more positive, highlighting how the cinematic experience – the immersive screen, three‑dimensional sound and collective viewing – heightens audiences’ emotional responses.

Rachel Bland, Senior Screen Content Manager at Vue Entertainment, said: “With a place in the World Cup Final at stake, fans can expect an incredible atmosphere both in the stadium and here at Vue. For those not making the journey to Atlanta, there’s no better place to experience every moment than on the big screen, with next-level picture and sound that makes you feel like you’re right there in the heart of the action.”

In addition to the semi-finals on Wednesday, Vue will be screening the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final on Sunday at 20:00 BST.
