Hereford Films are bringing out a range of T-shirts inspired by their best-loved film We Still Kill The Old Way and its sequel We Still Steal The Old Way. The film company has teamed up with Hastings firm 1066 Logos to launch a trio of high quality tees featuring stars Ian Ogilvy, Chris Ellison and Tony Denham. The films, in which a group of retired gangsters reunite to clean up the streets have become classics of the genre, with a third in the series on the way later this year.
The films have also starred Dani Dyer, Billy Murray, Alison Doody, Steven Berkoff, Julian Glover, Patrick Bergin and Lysette Anthony. Hereford Films CEO Jonathan Sothcott puts a lot of the film’s appeal down to the eclectic cast: “We’ve been incredibly lucky to have some of my absolute favourite film and TV stars in these films,” he says, “real iconic guys and girls from the 80s and 90s who were massive stars in that era but maybe haven’t worked as much recently. These really are the most fun films to make and although the subjects are dark, the films are played with a twinkle in the eye and I think audiences appreciate that in these gloomy times. We are asked about merchandise on a daily basis so I thought it only right we respond to public demand. If these first three shirts are a success we’ll definitely produce more.”
The T-shirts will be available to buy from the Hereford Films website – www.herefordfilms.co.uk – and in selected stores next month but we’ve got a preview of the initial designs for you here and we think these are some cool gangster garms.
