The Coach House in Southwark has changed its name to Coach Tuchel House after England booked their place in the semi-finals with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Norway on Saturday.

The Coach House at The George has been transformed into Coach Tuchel House as fans dream of ending 60 years of hurt and the Three Lions take their next step towards football glory.

The Greene King pub officially unveiled its new Coach Tuchel House signage this morning (Monday 13 July), with team members swapping their usual uniforms for England shirts as they get behind the Three Lions ahead of Wednesday’s semi-final against reigning world champions Argentina. It’s a fitting tribute to Tuchel who worked behind a bar before swapping pouring pints for the dugout.

With England now preparing to face Argentina, local fans can cheer on the Three Lions from Tuchel’s very own house, or as close as it gets. The newly renamed pub will welcome supporters to watch the match together on Wednesday 15 July as England bid for a place in the competition’s final.

Holly Whitehouse, Events Manager at Coach Tuchel House, formerly the Coach House, and a self-proclaimed Thomas Tuchel and England supporter, said: “As a big England and Thomas Tuchel fan myself, I was so excited to unveil our new Coach Tuchel House sign this morning. We’ve already had people stopping outside to take photos and we’re expecting an incredible atmosphere on Wednesday.

“There’s nothing quite like watching England in the pub. The atmosphere has been incredible so far and it’s been brilliant seeing fans come together to celebrate every win.”

The temporary rebrand will remain in place throughout England’s run in the competition, with fans encouraged to visit, snap a picture with the new sign and soak up the matchday atmosphere.
