Welcoming St. Felix Place – London’s New Railway Arch Bar & Garden Space In Borough

A brand new outdoor socialising space is set to open right in the heart of Borough next month, delivering not only a buzzy new place to hang, but also welcomes London’s most accessible craft beer brewery and taproom.

As Londoners prepare to click off Zoom and make up for some serious lost time with friends, St. Felix Place arrives on the 14th April to offer up something new and enticing right in the heart of South East London, and if beer is your thing, St. Felix Place should climb right to the top of your post-lockdown ‘to do’ list.

St. Felix Place

Designed, devised and delivered by London’s own Venue Group with the same care and attention as their other establishments; the nearby Flat Iron Square and the King’s Cross based multi-platform food, drink and live music hub Goods Way, St. Felix Place launches under two railway arches on SE1’s The Low Line, a hop skip and jump from Flat Iron Square. Like its neighbours, this bright, bold new socialising spot sets up in a leafy corner of London to enjoy good food, freshly brewed craft beer, and your great conversation.

In association with the Lagunitas Brewing Company, the St. Felix Brewery and Taproom promises visitors a selection of one-of-a-kind craft brews unavailable anywhere else in the city or beyond, to be enjoyed exclusively with friends either within the sizeable on-site taproom, or, god willing, outside in the sun-soaked garden. Connoisseurs can grab a peek under the bonnet and see precisely how and where their favourite new brews are being made, whilst the rest of us can grab a table, and be rest assured that that the journey from grain to hand was a good one. Alongside the hand crafted brews, a unique selection of whiskeys and southern state cocktails will be available to tempt the first timers to the connoisseurs. A selection of non-alcoholic beers ensures that our visitors are being watered accordingly, whatever their preference.

And in the tradition of both Flat Iron Square and Goods Way, a strong emphasis is being placed on the food offering too. Texas Joe’s Adobe offer something very different, and we’re excited to bring that to you. Sure, their succulent slow smoked BBQ rivals anywhere for taste, but they combine that with the flavours of Mexico in their tacos and homemade buttermilk biscuits to deliver a new style called Tex-Mex BBQ. Coming straight from Texas, you can trust their team to get it just right and deliver a taste unlike anywhere else in London.

We also welcome the self-styled ‘pizza with purpose’ from The Good Slice, our favourite purveyors of generously topped, focaccia-styled pizza slices, with a tasty selection of fresh toppings. Both our culinary residents offer a mouth-watering menu to compliment those brews.

On-site, the food, drink and chat will be supplemented with a strong supply of entertainment; including weekly local DJ sets (listen out for Balamii-curated DJ sets throughout the month), live acoustic performances, a book swap initiative, and some very special one-off events including an independent music and publishers fair and a Summer music festival. Further information to be announced imminently.

Bookings are now being taken for St Felix Place from 14th April.
