Westin Hotels & Resorts is today announcing the next event in its Rise & Run monthly running club series, taking place on Tuesday 4th June. Set to coincide with Global Running Day, the event will see brand ambassador Charlie Watson, AKA The Runner Beans, partner with famed nutritionist and best-selling author Rhiannon Lambert for the first time, to offer expertise on how to navigate nutritional advice in the digital age.

The wellness gurus will co-host an intimate pre-run conversation, offering their highly-sought after advice to attendees on how best to fuel their bodies both before and after training, debunking common health and nutrition myths along the way. Following the subsequent 5K run along the Thames, Rise & Run participants will be invited to take part in a Q&A with the experts over a nutritious breakfast, freshly prepared by Rhiannon Lambert, giving them the chance to ask the Harley Street professional their personal questions.

Rhiannon Lambert, Founder of Rhitrition, said:

“Nutrition, just like exercise, plays a huge role in our overall health and wellbeing by not only providing us with fuel for our workouts but also aiding in our recovery. Ensuring we eat well throughout the day can be considered a bit of a science, but I aim to make it as simple as possible for my talk at Westin’s Rise & Run event. I’m also creating an easy, nutritious recipe that attendees will get the chance to try after their 5km run, putting what we talk about into practice there and then.”

As well as the monthly running clubs, the quarterly collaboration events will continue throughout the year, curated by other leading names in the wellness industry, to educate runners about the importance of starting the day on the right foot.

The launch of the running club follows the announcement that Westin Hotels & Resorts will be making its UK debut with The Westin London City, set to open in the capital in 2021. Each run will begin near the hotel site, giving runners the chance to see the anticipated wellness hotspot evolve.

The Westin London City will be a 220-room nature-inspired wellness hotel located on the north bank of the Thames near Queenhithe Dock. Embodying the brand’s Let’s Rise mantra, it will feature an indoor swimming pool, spa and WestinWORKOUT® fitness studio with state-of-the-art TRX® exercise equipment as well as the RunWESTIN™ programme and the brand’s signature Gear Lending programme.

Free and open to all abilities, the next five-kilometre Rise & Run running club will take place on Tuesday 4th June at 6:45am and will then continue on the first Tuesday of every month thereafter. Participants are asked to meet at The River Room, Glaziers Hall, 9 Montague Close, London, SE19DD at 6:45am, for a 7:00am start, with the event ending by 8.15am.
