2. Read a book

If you’re someone who enjoys reading, then travelling on the tube can be the perfect opportunity for you to catch up on your reading list. There’s nothing better than getting lost in a good book and forgetting about the rest of the world. If you don’t have a book handy, why not download an ebook onto your phone or tablet?

Here are three of our favourites!

The Casual Vacancy by J.K Rowling

This book is a must read for any fan of J.K Rowling’s work. It tells the story of a small town in England that is rocked by the sudden death of its beloved Parish Councillor. The book follows the lives of the people left behind and their attempt to pick up the pieces.

Life After Life by Kate Atkinson

This book tells the story of Ursula Todd, who dies as a baby but is then reborn and lives, again and again, trying to fix things that went wrong in her previous life. It’s a really fresh concept and a truly gripping read.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Gone Girl is a psychological thriller about a marriage that goes wrong. It’s been made into a movie starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike and is well worth watching if you haven’t read the book yet.

3. Watch a movie or TV show

If you’re looking for something more engaging than a podcast or book, why not watch a movie or TV show? There are plenty of great shows and movies available on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, so there’s definitely something for everyone. Just make sure that you have headphones so that you don’t disturb other passengers.
