Who are the Favorites to Win the 2021/22 EPL?


The most competitive professional football league in the world, the English Premier League was formed in 1992. The First Division of the Football League founded in the late 1880s was succeeded by the Premier League.

Even though the most successful EPL clubs do not win the biggest European tournaments as frequently as other clubs from Europe, the Premier League still holds the status of the biggest football league not only in Europe but in the world.

More specifically, the least successful EPL teams are relegated to the Football League while the most successful Football League teams are promoted to the Premier League.

Since its inaugural season, seven teams have won the shiniest EPL title. Manchester United with thirteen titles is the most successful team followed by Chelsea with five and Manchester City with five titles.

Arsenal has won the EPL title three times while Liverpool, Leicester City, and Blackburn Rovers have won one title each. Manchester City won its fifth EPL title last season. 2020/2021 was a great season for Manchester United.

The team went on a great fifteen-match winning streak and according to the latest soccer predictions by all major bookmakers, it is one of the major favorites for winning the title this season.

Favorites to Win the English Premier League 2021/2022

The 2021/2022 EPL season has already started and most bookmakers have already revealed which teams have the biggest chances of winning the title this season.

As mentioned in the previous section, most bookmakers believe Manchester City with its star players Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, and Phil Foden can defend their EPL title.

Pep Guardiola’s team also includes many other great players such as Brazilian Ederson, Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Fernandinho, and Jack Grealish. However, Manchester City is not the only favorite for winning the title this season.

Chelsea’s winning odds are significantly boosted thanks to the arrival of amazing Romelu Lukaku who joined the team in 2021. For Inter Milan, in seventy-two appearances, he scored forty-seven goals.

Thomas Tuchel’s team also heavily relies on Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, Jorginho, Kai Havertz, and Timo Werner this season. The team is definitely aiming for winning the Premier League and Champions League and according to most bookmakers, it has great odds of winning this.

When discussing favorites to win the EPL title this season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team appears at the top with Manchester City and Chelsea. Manchester United welcomes several new players this season including Raphael Varane who came from Real Madrid.

Jardon Sancho also joined the Red Devils this year after leaving Borussia Dortmund. Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United after signing a two-year contract in August this year.

With the Red Devils, Ronaldo won three English Premier Titles and he most certainly wants to add one more before he retires.
