Last Thursday saw the first launch of the prominent London & South East Finance Awards, taking place at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, hosted by globally renown comedian Russell Kane and attended by over 750 of the region’s top finance professionals and businesses.

The Awards – hosted by leading recruitment firm Robert Walters in partnership with ACCA, HSBC & CFGI – moved to the capital this year to resounding acclaim, following in the footsteps of its sister awards in the North West & West Midlands.

Competition was high across all categories, which spanned industries from Retail, Media & Publishing to Leisure, Hospitality and Tech.

The night not only celebrated the incredible efforts of young professionals just making waves in their careers in the Rising Star of the Year category – but also the consistent dedication and hard-work of more seasoned professionals in the Finance Leader and Senior Finance Leader categories.

The judging period took place between Monday 4 September & Friday 15th September – where the winners were judged by a panel of the awards’ executive partners as well as a regional industry expert guest judge.

Janine Blacksley, Director of Robert Walters, comments:

“Last Thursday was an extraordinary night for the inaugural Finance Awards London & South East – laying a clear testimonial to the variety, scope and quality of financial talent in the region.

“All the stops were pulled out in a ceremony that was second-to-none, giving us a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of a range of individuals, teams & businesses.

“I speak on behalf of everyone at Robert Walters London when I say that I’m already eagerly awaiting what next year has in store!”
