Live At Chelsea has revealed the first wave of artists set to perform at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in June 2027, as the celebrated summer open-air series returns for five nights from 9–13 June.
Bananarama, joined by special guests Jason Donovan and T’Pau, will perform on Friday 11 June; Jack Savoretti headlines Saturday 12 June; and Patti Smith Quartet closes the weekend on Sunday 13 June. Further artists for Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 June will be announced.
One of London’s most distinctive summer concert series, Live At Chelsea transforms the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea – designed by Sir Christopher Wren, home to the world-famous Chelsea Pensioners and to the Chelsea Flower Show – into a fully seated open-air venue.
Against the backdrop of the historic Wren buildings, audiences can experience major artists in a setting that combines the scale of an outdoor concert with a rare sense of intimacy – something no arena, park or stadium can replicate.
Set beside the River Thames in the centre of town, just 15 minutes’ walk from Victoria station and moments from Sloane Square, Live At Chelsea sits at the heart of the city while feeling a world away from it.
Bananarama + Jason Donovan + T’Pau – Friday 11 June
Bananarama mark 40 years since ‘Wow!’, the 1987 album that gave us Love In The First Degree, I Want You Back and I Heard A Rumour. Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward formed the group in London and went on to hold the Guinness World Record for the most UK chart entries by a female group, with further hits including Cruel Summer, Venus and Robert De Niro’s Waiting.
They’re joined by special guest Jason Donovan, whose run of hits for Stock Aitken Waterman — Especially For You (with Kylie Minogue), Too Many Broken Hearts, Sealed With A Kiss and Rhythm Of The Rain — made him one of the biggest-selling artists of the late 1980s. He’s since built a strong stage career, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
T’Pau complete the bill. Fronted by Carol Decker, their 1987 single China In Your Hand spent five weeks at Number One and was one of the year’s biggest-selling singles, alongside Heart And Soul and Valentine.
Jack Savoretti – Saturday 12 June
Jack Savoretti headlines Live At Chelsea 20 years after the release of his debut album, ‘Between The Minds’, in 2007. Since then he’s built one of the strongest track records in British music, with UK Number One and Top Three albums, and sold-out shows across the UK and Europe on the back of his distinctive blend of soul, folk and classic songwriting.
His last two studio albums, ‘Europiana’ and ‘Miss Italia’, both went straight in at Number One, and he’s followed them with a run of the biggest headline shows of his career, including two sold-out nights at the Royal Albert Hall. Alongside his own material, Savoretti has built a reputation as a generous collaborator, working with artists from Andrea Bocelli to Kylie Minogue.
His latest album, ‘We Will Always Be the Way We Were’, was released earlier this year to critical acclaim.
Patti Smith Quartet– Sunday 13 June
The Godmother of Punk, Patti Smith, turns 80 this year, and brings that milestone to the Royal Hospital Chelsea in 2027, two years after marking the anniversary of ‘Horses’, her debut album and one of the most influential records in rock history.
Her songs need little introduction, from the opening howl of Gloria to the urgency of Land, the Grammy-nominated Because The Night (co-written with Bruce Springsteen) and the rallying cry of People Have The Power.
She’ll perform as the Patti Smith Quartet, joined by Tony Shanahan on bass and keyboards, Jackson Smith on guitar and Seb Rochford on drums.
Smith’s first London show, at the Roundhouse in 1976, is widely credited with helping spark the punk explosion that swept Britain the following year — one of the defining nights in the capital’s live music history.
Known for its intimate atmosphere and extraordinary setting, Live At Chelsea unites heritage and music under the summer sky. Previous performers include Max Richter, Paul Weller, Tom Jones, Simply Red, Toto, Gipsy Kings, Ludovico Einaudi, Jeff Beck, Kaiser Chiefs, James Blunt, Blue, Sparks, The Proclaimers and The Beach Boys, cementing the series as a highlight of London’s summer music calendar.
Hospitality and VIP packages, including premium seating within the venue’s historic grounds, will be available through Seat Unique.
A portion of proceeds from the concerts supports the ongoing care of the Chelsea Pensioners.
