A Croydon secondary school has been named on three national lists for staff experience, and a Cheam primary school has been recognised by parents, in the 2026 Edurio Awards.
Meridian High School won the Staff Choice Award, the Staff Feedback in Action Award and the Workload Balance Award for secondary schools. It is one of only three secondary schools in England to appear on all three lists.
The awards are based on how staff answered three questions in Edurio’s 2025/26 national survey: how likely they would be to recommend their school as a place to work, how often they see their feedback make a difference, and how often they feel overworked.
Meridian was also recognised nationally in 2025 for career development and for acting on staff feedback.
Cuddington Croft Primary School in Cheam won the Parent Choice Award for primary schools, putting it among the 10 schools in England whose parents are most likely to recommend them. Both schools are part of the GLF Schools multi academy trust.
Warwick Sharp, CEO of GLF Schools, said: “Recruiting and keeping good teachers is so important. It is brilliant to see that staff at Meridian say they’d recommend it as a place to work, that their views count and that they have a positive work life balance.
“I’m also really pleased for Cuddington Croft, whose parents have made clear how much they value the school.”
