Bexley Mencap is inviting local people, families, and supporters to join its Summer Sports Festival in Danson Park on 20 June, a lively community event taking place during Learning Disability Awareness Week and raising vital funds for the charity.

The festival will bring together sport, food, and family-friendly activities for all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy.

Activities on the day will include yoga, boccia, personal training sessions, sailing, kayaking, team paddle boarding, carnival games, a BBQ, a bar provided by Sarto Lounge, and cake stalls.

Kara Lee, Chief Executive of Bexley Mencap, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting our first ever Summer Sports Festival in Danson Park this June. It’s a fantastic opportunity for people to come together, enjoy a brilliant day out, and support Bexley Mencap at the same time.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming families, friends, and the local community for what promises to be a fun and inclusive event.”

She added: “Taking place during Learning Disability Awareness Week, the festival is also a chance to celebrate inclusion and raise awareness, while helping us fund the work we do with people with learning disabilities and their families.”
