, offering two new ways for customers to shop. Alongside the traditional market stalls, customers can now shop virtually through Click it Local’s Virtual Broadway Market as well as it’s brand new Click and Collect service.

Click It Local’s mission is to secure the future of the local high street by making it easier for people to shop more locally, and regularly. With this in mind, they have teamed up with traders at Broadway Market to create an online platform that will function as a virtual market. Running alongside the traditional physical stalls, the virtual market will let people order online for same-day or next-day delivery, as well as pre-order their weekly favourites for collection on Saturdays from the Click & Collect stall. The collection point will be at the top of the market, clearly signposted and manned by Click It Local staff.
By allowing customers to pre-order products, this not only offers locals a more convenient service but it will also help reduce queues and contribute to the safe reopening of the market.

Click It Local founder Steven Koch says, “As Broadway Market begins to re-open, we want to continue to support its shops and traders by offering additional streams of revenue.
Providing local retailers with same day delivery services and Click and Collect options means we are enabling independents to compete with the bigger competition, whilst still offering the same level of service and convenience that customers have come to expect.”

Cllr Guy Nicholson, Cabinet Member for Planning, Business, Investment and Culture said: “The Council and Traders have been working hard to reopen all of Hackney’s street markets making sure that we can all shop local and shop safe; it’s great to see that Broadway is now ready to go. As we all adjust to the COVID-19 ‘new normal’ Hackney is determined to support the local community reopen for business and do it safely. But it falls on all of us to be aware and remember to keep your distance, wear a face mask and make sure that we regularly clean our hands. If we all make sure we shop safe, then the sooner all our street markets can fully reopen”.
