The Brockwell Live Big Top will transform into an outdoor cinema with the Picturehouse Ritzy
On Wednesday 27th May, Brixton’s iconic cinema is coming to Brockwell Park with Ritzy In The Park. The towering Brockwell Live Big Top will be reimagined as a working outdoor cinema in partnership with the Picturehouse Ritzy, a Brixton institution and one of the best-loved independent cinemas in the country.
Two classic films hit the Big Top – ‘Wallace & Gromit: Curse Of The Wererabbit (U)’ at 4pm and ‘Grease (PG)’ at 7.10pm, both on a 24ft Picturehouse screen, for a single, unmissable night, and it’s all free. Whether it’s bringing the kids, gathering mates for a singalong, or making a date night of it, this is a chance to enjoy the magic of the big screen under the Big Top, with popcorn, drinks and everything needed for a memorable movie experience.

Brockwell Hall and the courtyard will be packed with free activities during halt-term
Running daily across the May half-term from 10.45am to 6pm, Kids Together hands Brockwell Hall and its courtyard over to under-12s for three back-to-back days of free activity, curated in partnership with the South London children’s magazine and storytelling brand Tootles + Nibs. Each day has its own theme, so families can pick a favourite or come back for all three. Tuesday 26th is Theatre, Dance & Storytelling with a celebration of movement and imagination.
Wednesday 27th welcomes From The Circus To The Rave as Brockwell Hall transforms into a working big top for the day, with clowning, juggling and circus-skills sessions, followed by a kid-friendly dancefloor from Ruckus Rave. Thursday 28th sees Comic Books & Urban Sports pairing indoor creativity with outdoor energy, including a cartooning workshop, Yo! Street Zone’s Panna Football and a cosplay competition.

Community run clubs Ravers2Runners and gayns head to Field Day and Mighty Hoopla
Run Together pairs two of the UK’s most loved community run clubs with two of Brockwell Live’s headline festivals for 5k runs, with all abilities welcome. Saturday 16th is Ravers2Runners x Field Day, with the team behind the viral festival run movement Ravers2Runners rolling through the park at a sociable pace. Every finisher is entered into a draw to win a pair of Field Day tickets. On Sunday 24th is the turn of gayns x Mighty Hoopla, as global queer run club gayns leads a free 5k around Brockwell Park. Open to LGBTQ+ runners and allies of every level, it also includes a draw to win two tickets to Mighty Hoopla.
Brockwell Hall and Courtyard hosts Music Together in partnership with Reprezent and JOM on Friday 29th. This free, all-day takeover is built squarely around the next generation of South London musicians, DJs and promoters aged 14 and over. Delivered in partnership with award-winning youth radio station REPREZENT and live-music platform JOM, the day moves from DJ’ing and gig tech, to music career panels, to a five hour showcase of local breaking artists.
