Camden Lock Plays Host To Pirate Treasure Hunt for Halloween

0

For a limited time, a pirate treasure hunt will be taking place on the Regent’s Canal to celebrate Halloween. Starting at Paddington Basin, GoBoat passengers can set sail for Camden Lock in search of the lost pieces of eight to claim a prize.

Their journey begins at the GoBoat pontoon at Merchant Square, where ship mates will be briefed on the challenge ahead by the pirate themed crew. Fancy dress is encouraged, and each team will leave with clues to solve as to where the pieces of eight are to be found.

To prove their worth, camera phone photos will be required of the treasure – the more they find, the more bounty they will receive. There are even bonuses for best Halloween costumes.

Once teams have returned to the pontoon, the GoBoat crew will confirm if legendary pirate status has been achieved and reveal the reward. Loot includes a free round of drinks at Heist Bank for grownups and booty bags for kids.

GoBoats are electric self-drive boats; with no stuffy tour guides you can be your own captain. Each boat seats up to eight people around a central table so you can bring a picnic and fizz too. The ride is a steady 4 miles per hour, the perfect cruising speed for a laidback waterways journey. Suitable for all ages including children and even dogs are welcome on board.

Tickets are available at www.goboat.co.uk and the GoBoat Pirate Treasure Hunt will run from 24th to 31st October. Prices start at £89 for a two-hour trip; that’s about £11 per person based on 8 sharing. Gift vouchers are also available.
