Camden Town brewery launches ‘pub’ for hedgehogs

Winter is a time for brisk walks amongst the spruce trees in the fresh cold air. Our Hells in Hibernation Lager, the latest addition to our Seasonal Hells range, is inspired by just that. It’s fresh, crisp and unfiltered, brewed with Chinook and Apollo hops for a piney aroma and citrus bitterness.

However, hibernation isn’t easy for British wildlife these days. The change in their environment has seen animals such as hedgehogs arrive much later in the year, meaning they’re not able to eat enough to sleep through the cold winter months. And in urban areas, loss of habitat, dangerous roads and pesticide have all limited hedgehogs’ ability to find a safe space to hibernate in winter.

That’s why we’re supporting the British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS) by donating a portion of every can of Hells in Hibernation Lager sold towards helping hedgehogs hibernate this winter.

Fancy a pint at The Hibernation Arms*? This may look like your local, but this hog-sized-hut provides a safe space for hedgehogs to hibernate and is the inspiration behind how you can help hogs (and hoglets!) find a place to sleep in during the winter and birth in the summer.

Hells in Hibernation is the third release from our limited-edition Seasonal Hells range, following Harvest Hells (Autumn) and Strawberry Hells Forever (Summer). It’s only around as long as winter is, so don’t miss out – Hells in Hibernation is now available from Sainsbury’s and M&S stores.
