The City of London Corporation has agreed to let a prime Mayfair retail outlet to a boutique women’s fashion brand.

The 1,900 sq ft property at 99 New Bond Street will become the first flagship store of Galvan London.

Designed by women for women, the eight-year-old brand initially specialised in contemporary eveningwear collections and has since expanded into a full ready-to-wear offer.

Galvan will relocate from its current boutique in Notting Hill in early December.

Chair of the City of London Corporation’s Property Investment Board, Andrien Meyers, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Galvan London to its new home in the heart of one of the capital’s most renowned shopping streets.

“Their brand will fit perfectly with the many established neighbouring high quality fashion retailers, and their arrival is another sign that the capital’s retail sector is continuing its post-Covid recovery.”

The City of London Corporation is the governing body of the Square Mile but is responsible for a property portfolio extending to locations across Greater London and the south-east.

Set over two floors, the new store will reflect Galvan’s modern aesthetic. Clean lines combine with geometric mirrors to create a sleek space that is punctuated by chrome details and curved glass furnishings.

One floor will be dedicated to ready-to-wear, ranging across modern suiting, Power Knits, party dresses and formal eveningwear. Another will showcase the White Collection, Galvan’s contemporary take on bridal. Walk-in clients and appointments will be welcomed.

Galvan London’s Creative Director Anna-Christin Haas said:

“It feels like a dream come true to open a flagship on the most iconic shopping street in London. This will be a new home for Galvan – a place not only to shop but also to
experience the highly personalised services that we have honed over the years.”

The City Corporation worked with leasing agent Kenningham Retail for the letting at 99 New Bond Street. The property was previously occupied by Italian shoe retailer Loriblu.

Kenningham Retail’s Surveyor Max Hardy said:

“We are delighted to have secured Galvan London for their flagship, such a prestigious brand who will deliver an exciting retail offer to compliment the repositioning of this part of New Bond Street.”
