DLD College London has announced the appointment of its Student Council for the 2026-27 academic year, bringing together a new generation of student leaders who will represent their peers and help shape life across the college.

The appointment follows a competitive selection process in which candidates demonstrated their commitment to student welfare, academic excellence, and community engagement. Staff members praised this year’s cohort for their creativity, leadership potential, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Throughout the year, council members will act as ambassadors for the student body, champion community initiatives, and help shape the cultural and academic life of the college.

The Student Council will be responsible for a variety of initiatives, including organising events, gathering student feedback and contributing to discussions on policies and programmes that affect daily life at the college. Among its early priorities are strengthening wellbeing support, expanding extracurricular opportunities, enhancing communication between students and staff, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting academic enrichment activities.

James Kidd, Executive Principal at DLD College London, commented, “At DLD College London, we are committed to developing not only academic excellence but also the leadership skills, confidence, and sense of responsibility that will enable our students to thrive in an ever-changing world. The Student Council provides an invaluable opportunity for young people to lead, collaborate, and make a meaningful contribution to their school community. Through these experiences, students develop the qualities that will help them become the leaders, innovators, and changemakers of the future.

“I congratulate all of our newly appointed council members and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have across the college this year.”

The newly appointed council will begin its work ahead of the new academic year, working closely with students and staff to deliver initiatives that strengthen the College community and enhance the student experience.
