In celebration of Elephant & Castle’s rich history, Elephant & Castle’s Virtual Community Hub is hosting a free virtually animated tour throughout the ages of the area on Thursday 20th August, 7:00pm-8:00pm.
Presented by John Whelan, Artistic Director of People’s Company based at Southwark Playhouse and animator of local history, the tour will celebrate the legacy of the Elephant & Castle, delving deeper into the elements that have shaped it to be what it is today and is available for all to join and learn more.
This event is part of an ongoing celebration within the area to celebrate its rich history and Elephant & Castle’s historical exhibition, displaying the area in pictures and videos throughout the ages. The local community can also send in their memories too!
