Elephant & Castle’s Dads House, the charity supporting single fathers, mothers and families, have been supporting the local community through their food bank, ensuring that local residents suffering the most receive the essentials they need during the time of crisis.
Since the launch on 3rd April, the team have distributed 23,500 meals to the local Elephant & Castle community, handing out 3,000 meals last Tuesday (5th May), and a further 5,000 on Friday (8th May), and another 3,500 yesterday.
William McGranghan, Founder of Dads House said: “We would like to highlight the importance of every single volunteer which has been pivotal to the success of our food bank and in helping the community. By working together we ensure these food banks remain operational, and that those requiring assistance in the local community have the resources they need during this difficult period. Dads House are continuing to call on further donations for anyone who can afford to give something.”
