Pegasus Group secured planning permission for the much anticipated ‘Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N’ at the ExCeL Centre in London.
The Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N is an immersive experience that allows visitors to step inside the popular movie franchise and train up the next generation of Superheroes. Highlights of the experience include simulated flights and fights in Iron Man’s suit, battling Ultron and testing your strength inside the Thor Observatory.
The Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N has previously enjoyed success in China, Australia, the USA, France and Sweden.
Pegasus Group secured full planning permission and advertisement consent for the Temporary Interactive Exhibition Centre on behalf of the MJR Group, a worldwide event promoter, venue operator and entertainment industry innovator.
Working to a very tight deadline to ensure the show opened on time, Pegasus Group quickly identified the issues associated with the development and began work to address the matters relating to Planning, Transport, Economics and Employment.
Pegasus Group worked closely with the London Borough of Newham to quickly resolve all issues raised by consultees to ensure the application was taken to the first available planning committee just four weeks after submission, where local councillors voted unanimously to approve the application.
The end result was a planning permission secured for a major leisure scheme in just under a month and which was not subject to any planning obligations or ‘pre-commencement’ type planning conditions, allowing the applicant to commence work on-site immediately.
