Everyman on the Canal will return to Granary Square in King’s Cross from 29 June to 16 August 2026, bringing six weeks of free outdoor cinema, Wimbledon matches, and a curated programme of summer entertainment back to the steps of the Regent’s Canal.
Now in its seventh year, the annual open-air event has become one of London’s most popular free summer attractions, welcoming a record 1.5 million visitors in 2025. Once again, the canal-side steps will become a place for Londoners and visitors alike to settle in, sink into a bean bag and watch the evening unfold beside the water. Making King’s Cross the perfect place to escape in London.
This year’s programme is the biggest to date, with screenings including Some Like It Hot, Grease, Dune: Part One, Paddington and The Devil Wears Prada, alongside cult classics, family favourites, Wimbledon and a handful of surprises still to come. Opening night will feature a set by DJ Yoda, accompanied by immersive live visuals, setting the tone for an unforgettable return to Everyman on the Canal.
Across the Summer, guests can also enjoy additional DJ sets, Q&As and a summery selection of Everyman’s highly anticipated food and drinks, including frozen margaritas, sundaes from Dream Ice Cream, chocolate strawberries and fresh popcorn – everything needed to turn lazy afternoons into warm summer nights. Free to attend and open to all, Everyman on the Canal once again promises to bring film, sport and culture to the heart of King’s Cross, while offering one of the capital’s most atmospheric places to spend a summer evening.
In a creative first for the event, Everyman has collaborated with graduates from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, the world-renowned arts college located moments from the canal. BA Graphic Communication Design graduate Alice Wilson has been selected to develop a bold artistic identity, from the design of the screen to the sweet boxes. Her striking design draws on the unique setting, character and community of the canal and King’s Cross neighbourhood, creating a fully immersive visual experience rooted in the local area.
Farah Golant, CEO Everyman said: “It’s an honour for our team to once again host Everyman on the Canal. This year’s creative activation with graduates of Central Saint Martins makes this our most community-integrated event yet. Everyman on the Canal embodies Everyman’s commitment to bringing people together through the power of film and shared experience, reaching new audiences and embedding itself at the heart of local communities and culture.”
Alice Wilson, Central Saint Martins graduate and this year’s designer, said: “I wanted the work to reflect the feeling of being by the canal, the movement, the atmosphere, and the mix of people who pass through it every day.”
For the second year, Rolex have partnered with Everyman to present the gameplay of the Wimbledon Championships on the Granary Square canal steps. The Swiss watchmaker became Official Timekeeper of the tournament in 1978. Ever since, it has supported the leading competitions worldwide, the legends who have shaped the sport and today’s players competing for glory.
