With an impressive selection of exciting festive events, treat your family and friends to the ultimate prehistoric preamble to Christmas at the Natural History Museum.
On 22 December, experience the wonders of the Museum after-hours to celebrate the holiday season in style with Christmas at the Museum. Grab a mulled wine and a mince pie and dig into an array of activities in this one-night-only festivity, from special seasonal science stations to wintery workshops. Additionally, those with their fanciest festive outfits will be in with a chance to win a special prize, so don’t forget to deck yourself out with your best Christmas costumes.
Tickets for Christmas at the Museum, available now both in the Museum and online, will also include entry to the Museum’s current headline exhibitions. Experience stunning snowy scenery amongst the incredible imagery of Wildlife Photographer of the Year; or, make a last-minute visit to Titanosaur: Life as the Biggest Dinosaur, ahead of its closure in the new year.
Additionally, families can join onto one of many Storytelling with Santa sessions running throughout the day from 11-23 December. Join Santa for a special Christmas story, followed by both a festive photo with Father Christmas and a gift with every child’s ticket. Organised for all ages, the 10.15am slot will be a SEN session suitable for neurodivergent audiences.
Still in need for a last-minute Christmas gift? Visit the Museum’s gift shop with an array of festive and educational gifts for everyone. From eco-friendly tree decorations to this year’s Museum Christmas jumper and matching scarf and hat, featuring some of the Museum’s most beloved dino skeletons.
