It’s the final week for families to sign up to the Active Westminster family wave of the Vitality Westminster Mile 2019 which takes place on May Bank Holiday Sunday May 26, 2019. The deadline to enter is this Friday, May 17th – so don’t delay!
The event will see Sir Mo Farah and Lord Sebastian Coe join thousands of runners – from beginners to elite athletes and youngsters to the elderly – at the world’s most iconic mile, starting on The Mall and finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.
Everyone Active, which operates seven leisure centres across Westminster in partnership with Westminster City Council, is inviting its members and visitors to join the Active Westminster family wave. Bee Active, Everyone Active’s loveable, cuddly mascot, will wave runners off before limbering up himself to run in the mascot race.
Alongside the Westminster Mile run is a free, family-friendly Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park so you can really make a day of it.
- The Vitality Wellness Festival is packed with fun activities, coaching and taster sessions.
- The festival’s main stage will feature interviews, athlete meet and greets, Q&A sessions and much more and the compere will guide visitors through the many activities on offer.
- The Festival is mapped out clearly to help visitors find all the fun they want in London’s beautiful Green Park. It will be a truly great day out for the family this Bank Holiday weekend.

Race entry is just £8 for adults (18 and over) and £6 for 12-17-year-olds with a £1 reduction for Westminster residents.
Entry is free for children aged 11 and under – perfect for young families wanting to take part in the Active Westminster Wave.
