This summer, London’s largest independent brewery Signature Brew are joining forces with KERB’s Tastes Like London riverside market to launch Signature’s Summer Series, a free-to-attend live music series outside the National Theatre on the South Bank.
Kicking off on Friday 19th June, Signature’s Summer Series brings together independent artists, DJs and live performers in one of the city’s most iconic riverside settings, all summer long. The series opens with a DJ set from Simone Marie Butler of legendary rock band Primal Scream. Subsequent sessions take place on Friday 26th June, Friday 24th July and Friday 28th August ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.
The sessions take place against the backdrop of KERB’s open-air summer market on the South Bank. Fresh pints, frozen cocktails and spritzes flow from London’s largest independent brewery, Signature Brew’s 20-foot container bar, while a carefully curated selection of independent food traders, including,masters of the slow roasted duck, The Duck Shed, Barbs bringing the flavours of Barbados straight to the Southbank, vibrant plant-based street food from Feed the Village, and indulge in Malaysian-Nigerian fusion from Happy Pot.
Whilst the Signature’s Summer Series are taking place, guests can also enjoy the outdoor terrace at The Understudy bar, with two new KERB traders and a pair of fresh pop-up bars. Guests can sip refreshing Hugo Spritzes at the Black Lines bar meanwhile coffee connoisseurs GRIND keep things cool with flavoured matcha, frappes and cold cocktails built for long afternoons in the sun. For dessert, artisan plant based gelateria Chill Gelato takes up position with dairy free scoops all summer long. Above the market, Forza Taps return for round three, spilling onto the lower terrace of the National Theatre below Forza Wine with banging sunset views over the Thames and wine, cocktails, beer and slushies on tap.
KERB has been bringing delicious, diverse, independent food and drink to the streets of London for over a decade and since 2021 has curated the food and drink line-up inside and outside the National Theatre, transforming one of the city’s most iconic cultural institutions into a destination known for its food offering alongside its world class programming.
