FREE NOW, the European Mobility Super App, has just received a new three-year private hire vehicle (PHV) operator licence in London. The company currently holds the longest PHV licence of four largest operators in London.

The licence is issued by Transport for London and is one of the most complex to achieve globally with several global industry leaders struggling to renew it in previous years. FREE NOW is committed to investing and growing further in London and the wider UK market in the coming three years.

Since the pandemic, the private hire vehicle market has rapidly evolved with FREE NOW reporting that it has quadrupled its PHV tours in June 2022 compared to the previous year, proving the steep increase in demand for private hire vehicle services in the UK market.

FREE NOW connects users with over 40,000 registered drivers in nine cities across the UK. The company is moving towards a broad urban mobility ecosystem, ensuring to get passengers from A to B in the most fast, flexible and frictionless way. The platform brings together disparate demand and supply together more intelligently to save emissions, reduce dependence on private cars and increase the efficiency of urban mobility.

Within the past year FREE NOW has expanded their mobility offering, providing even further choice for consumers in how they travel all available within one app. Alongside PHV and iconic black cabs, users can book the largest fleet of electric mobility options in London through eScooters and eBikes which is made available through app integrations with key operators active in the market including Dott, HumanForest and TIER.
